TBS Round 2: San Lazaro defeat Barias

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Barias at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by San Lazaro 74-73. Strangely Barias outrebounded San Lazaro 49-33 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Puerto Rican swingman Justin Reyes (193-95, college: STAC) saved the victory by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) contributed with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds for Barias. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Huellas played at the court of Los Prados. Huellas managed to secure a 8-point victory 90-82. Point guard Richard Bautista (187-97) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Darwin Cabrera chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. American center Adonis De La Rosa (213-94, college: Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
The game in was also quite interesting. Mauricio Baez played at the court of El Million. Mauricio Baez defeated El Million 79-65 on Sunday. Juan Miguel Suero notched 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 17 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks by Leandro Cabrera did not help to save the game for El Million. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.

In the last game of round 2 winless San Carlos were beaten by Bameso on the road 70-63.



Los Prados - Huellas 82-90

The game in was also worth to mention about. Huellas played at the court of Los Prados. Huellas managed to secure a 8-point victory 90-82. Huellas forced 21 Los Prados turnovers. Point guard Richard Bautista (187-97) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Darwin Cabrera chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. American center Adonis De La Rosa (213-94, college: Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import DJ Laster (199-96, college: Gardner-Webb) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bameso made 8 blocks. American guard Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) notched 28 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Michael Baez (196-97, college: Lynn) supported him with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 18 rebounds and 8 blocks by American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for San Carlos.
